"Stanford University graduates Larry Page and Sergey Brin collaborate on an Internet search engine they call 'BackRub', named for its unique ability to analyze the back links pointing to a given website. They rename the search engine and officially open up Google for business on September 7, 1998. The Google name is a play on the word googol, a mathematical term that refers to the number represented by the numeral 1 followed by 100 zeros."Today, both Larry and Sergey are billionaires!
