My oldest daughter turned 13 today. No longer a child, but a full-fledged, cellphone carrying adolescent. She has now earned the right to wear makeup (in moderation) and stay up a little later than her younger siblings. She is... a teenager.
I'm extremely proud of her -- for many reasons. She's a committed Christian and a responsible part of our family of five. She is a Beta Club member, an All-Conference volleyball player, an award winning dancer and one heckuva sweet young lady. I am proud to be her father and her friend.
