More Pro-Life Censorship -- At a Catholic University

Twice in two weeks, pro-life advertisements from Human Life Alliance have been denied access to college students -- this time at Gonzaga University. "We're saddened to learn Gonzaga University, a Catholic school, has refused to accept 'We Know Better Now,' our pro-life advertising supplement for 'The Gonzaga Bulletin,'" said Joe Langfeld, Deputy Director for Human Life Alliance. "As a non-profit organization dedicated to educating students on the humanity of the pre-born child and gruesome realities of abortion we use college newspapers to reach 19- 24 year-olds who are the number one age group of abortion participants."

When asked to run the advertising supplement, officials from "The Gonzaga Bulletin" rejected the inserts stating, "There are articles in the insertion that cast a negative light on various organizations or individuals. While these statements may be true, we simply cannot insert them in our paper per our advertising policies."

"Of course some statements in our publication are objectionable to 'various organizations or individuals.' We present documented truth about the largest abortion chain in the nation, Planned Parenthood, and its founder Margaret Sanger," noted Langfeld. "The business of abortion is ugly and we think college and university students have a right to read the facts from someone other then abortion providers."

The Gonzaga denial comes on the heels of another rejection at Allegheny College in Meadville, PA last week. "Fortunately, there's good news to report from Allegheny. After phone calls, emails and a visit form a local HLA supporter, student editors have agreed to insert 'We Know Better Now' in the January 19, 2009 issue of 'The Campus' student newspaper", Langfeld said. "We're thrilled these students have communicated with HLA and agreed to give us a voice on their campus."

Allegheny College Violates Their Mission Statement

It's time to tell Allegheny College that their censorship is not only irresponsible, but violates the tone and verbage of their Mission Statement. That statement reads:

Allegheny’s undergraduate residential education prepares young adults for successful, meaningful lives by promoting students’ intellectual, moral, and social development and encouraging personal and civic responsibility. Allegheny's faculty and staff combine high academic standards and a commitment to the exchange of knowledge with a supportive approach to learning. Graduates are equipped to think critically and creatively, write clearly, speak persuasively, and meet challenges in a diverse, interconnected world.

What a load of crap!
Censoring the "exchange of knowledge" regarding abortion is not, in any way, promoting "moral and personal responsibility". Also, how can a student be taught to "think critically" when the idea that abortion is fine, well & good is the only idea openly expressed -- and all competing ideas are censored?!?

I truly hope that the Allegheny Christian Outreach, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Ford Chapel Deacons, Hillel, Newman Organization, Islamic Awareness Society, and Sojourners Christian Fellowship are all "raising Cain" with the staff of The Campus for not only censoring the literature offered by Human Life Alliance, but also for STEALING their money.

I would encourage everyone to contact Allegheny College to complain about the censorship and theft. There are also a few other people who need to be contacted regarding this issue:
  • Gretchen Symons, Director of Student Activities: gretchen.symons@allegheny.edu
  • Kate Gullatta, Assistant Director of Student Activities: kate.gullatta@allegheny.edu
  • Barb Steadman, Director of Public Affairs: barb.steadman@allegheny.edu
  • Penny Frank, Assistant Director of Public Affairs: penny.frank@allegheny.edu
  • Thomas Hughes, Editor of The Campus newspaper: thomas.hughes@allegheny.edu

Real Christians CANNOT Vote for Obama

I'm going to come right out and say it - Real Christians CANNOT vote for Barack Obama! Although I'm not THE person to judge a person's commitment to Christianity, I believe (with everything in me) that any true, Bible-believing, God-fearing, Jesus-worshiping Christian cannot -- under their beliefs and faith -- vote for Barack Obama. Let's look at a few reasons why -- whether black, white, red, yellow or green -- NO real Christian can, in good faith, vote for Obama...

ABORTION
Let's face it. Obama is on record voting for abortion, even the most heinous of procedures, partial-birth abortion. He even voted against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act -- which would save lives of botched abortions -- those where the baby lives to be born. Obama's vote would have thos children murdered as well.

HOMOSEXUALITY
The Bible is clear - Homosexuality is a sin. Never mind the politically correct bunk you've been brainwashed into believing. Homosexuality is wrong. Therefore gay marriage is wrong. Yet, Barack Obama not only supports homosexuality, he wants our five and six year old children to be forced into celebrating and embracing homosexuality. He even hired one of the gay agenda's lowest lowlifes, Kevin Jennings, to work for his campaign.

ISRAEL & JEWS
Although the story has been told several times over the past two years, it is finally catching traction only this week -- B. Hussein Obama's friendship with Rashid Khalidi, a known terrorist apologist and anti-Israeli pundit, along with several others.

SOCIALISM
Call it what you want, but when you spread the wealth, tax the people and remove capitalistic and democratic values from a society in the way Barack Obama plans to "change" America, it's socialism.

CONCLUSION
As such, any person who calls themselves a Christian would be "a house divided" if they were to vote for Obama. As the Bible says, we cannot serve two masters. From his words, deeds and proposed policies, we KNOW that Barack Obama cannot truly be a Christian. Therefore, he must be serving someone other than the God of the Holy Bible and Christianity.

Therefore, real Christians cannot vote for Obama -- and still say they are living by their beliefs and faith. The two are incongruous.

SBA List President: 'Obama is Lying About Record on Born Alive Infant Protection Act'

Article from christiansunite.com
Today, in response to a new Ohio ad by the Barack Obama campaign addressing Obama's position with regard to opposing the Born Alive Infant Protection Act the Susan B. Anthony List offered comment and facts on Obama's record: "If only 'change' was all about how Barack Obama could change his past votes. He knows his extreme record on abortion doesn't resonate with values voters in battleground states, and sadly it is too late to change his votes. So now he's truly lying - bordering upon the pathological -- with this new television ad. The only favorable interpretation of this ad would be that he is suffering from some sort of amnesia," said Susan B. Anthony List President Marjorie Dannenfelser.

"However, that seems unlikely. His inhuman vote on the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act is too memorable and will repel values voters across the country. American voters are savvy - they can and will see through Barack Obama's cynical attempt to play the politics of personal gain when unborn lives are on the line. Obama built a straw man out of the public's condemnation of his vote. No one claimed he wants to leave every single newborn infant to die - just the most vulnerable ones - those almost full term girls and boys whose abortion was unsuccessful," said Dannenfelser.

Documents recently obtained by the National Right to Life Committee reveal a discrepancy between the facts and Barack Obama's rhetoric about the Born- Alive Infant Protection Act: - Barack Obama opposed the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act as an Illinois State Senator. He spoke against the bill, calling it an "unnecessary burden" for women and voted against it three times. Despite that opposition, he has since declared support for the federal version of the same legislation that aims to protect newborn babies who survive abortions.
- After NARAL pulled its opposition to the legislation, Obama continued to oppose it.
- Obama has publicly stated he opposed the legislation due to its lack of a "neutrality clause" - language expressing that the bill had no bearing on the legal status of unborn children with regard to abortion.
- Official legislative documents show that Obama in fact presided over a committee hearing where "neutrality clause" language - identical to the federal language - was added to the Illinois version of the Born- Alive Infant Protection Act.
- After voting in support of the "neutrality clause," Obama then joined fellow Democrats to oppose the bill, killing it by a vote of 6-4, even after the addition of the "neutrality clause."
- The bill Obama killed is nearly identical to the federal version of the Born- Alive Infant Protection Act signed by President Bush in 2002.

Since its founding, the Susan B. Anthony List has helped elect seventy-five pro-life candidates to the House, seven to the Senate, and seven to other statewide offices across the country. The Susan B. Anthony List is a nationwide network of Americans, over 147,000 residing in all 50 states, dedicated to mobilizing, advancing, and representing pro-life women in politics. Its connected Candidate Fund increases the percentage of pro-life women in the political process.

Stealing the Minds of America: Compelling Truths for Black America

[This is one of THE most important posts The Sope-Bocks has ever published.]

While listening to a radio talk show yesterday evening, I was blessed to hear a proud black woman speak on the coming election and the two major political parties in America. This morning, I visited her website in an attempt to find out more. Here is an excerpt from her opening salvo on the site:
I was ignorant and proud. Ignorant of what the political parties really embraced and too proud to set aside my preconceived ideas to listen. Yet when I began to research the facts for myself, I was shocked to discover that what I thought I knew was all a lie. In reality, I had aligned myself with the very party that historically, had determined to eliminate African Americans from the entire political process. This is a must read book for all truth-seekers who vote! –Janice L. Ponds

Janice L. Ponds is writing about the Democratic Party. Remember, she is black or as the politically correct would say, African-American. Janice and her husband have researched and published a book entitled, Stealing the Minds of America. The subtitle is: A Must for All Truth-Seekers Who Vote. I plan to order the book -- then read it from cover to cover.

After listening to Janice Ponds last night, I would encourage everyone -- especially the black community to read the book. But, only if they are truth seekers. Those who want to blindly (and ignorantly) follow the black community's mandate to vote Democratic will not want to read the book. It's for truth seekers ONLY.

In the event, The Sope-Bocks readers might want to know more about the truth, here are a few questions asked and answered in Ponds' book:

Do you know what political party…

  1. Was initially created as anti-slavery leaders broke away to establish a new political group to abolish slavery?
  2. Allowed black Americans to participate in the political process subsequent to slavery; resulting in hundreds of black men who were former slaves, becoming congressmen and prominent political leaders?
  3. Spearheaded the Dred Scott decision of 1857, delivered by a party-specific Supreme Court declaring blacks were not persons or citizens, but instead property with no rights?
  4. Repealed all civil rights laws in 1876 and instituted Jim Crow” laws to deprive blacks of their voting and civil rights?
  5. Did not have a single one of its 56 Congressional members vote for the 15th amendment which supported granting explicit voting rights to black Americans?
  6. Formed the Ku Klux Klan in an effort to prevent African-American leaders from being elected to political office after slavery was abolished; and terrorized both black and white Americans who had a specific party affiliation?
  7. Had its key leaders vote against a bill called the Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004; which would protect unborn children from assault and murder?
Here are the answers:
  1. Republican
  2. Republican
  3. Democratic
  4. Democratic
  5. Democratic
  6. Democratic
  7. Democratic
This information was somewhat of a surprise to me. I knew that Republicans and Christian leaders in Congress were at the forefront of abolishing slavery, but was NOT aware that the Democratic Party had pushed so hard to keep blacks from having civil and voting rights.

Furthermore, Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, came up with the idea of her organization as a means of wiping out the black race. Now, Presidential candidate Barack Obama is in bed with Planned Parenthood -- and supports ALL abortion (including late term abortion). So much for looking out for your fellow man, huh?!? Black so-called "civil rights leaders" need to get their head out of the sand and get with the reality of the party they so vehemently support.

Ponds' website, Thinking for Yourself, also has five powerful and thought-provoking excerpts from the book. Take the time to review the truth contained therein: Excerpt 1, Excerpt 2, Excerpts 3 and 4, and Excerpt 5.

Janice Ponds' book, Stealing the Minds of America, is past due. It was needed before the 1992 elections -- and is needed more than ever in 2008. I challenge the black community to start thinking for yourself!

TOPIC: Sin, As Defined by Americans
From Albert Mohler.com
As is so often the case, research comes with both good news and bad news. Ellison Research conducted a survey of representative Americans to find out what the public believes about sin. The good news is the simple part -- the vast majority of Americans believe in sin.

According to the Ellison Research study, 87% of Americans believe in the concept of sin, defined as "something that is almost always considered wrong, particularly from a religious or moral perspective." That is good news of a sort, since the absence of any notion of sin would spell social and theological disaster. It is somewhat reassuring to know that most of our neighbors believe that at least some acts are "almost always considered wrong." It is hard to imagine how we would sleep at night if a majority believed otherwise. But all that reassurance quickly dissipates when the rest of the data are considered. It turns out that Americans do not have a very clear idea of which acts are sin.

A significant majority of Americans were agreed that the following are sins:

  • Adultery - 81%
  • Racism - 74%
  • Using "hard" drugs such as cocaine, heroine, meth, LSD, etc. - 65%
  • Not saying anything if a cashier gives you too much change back - 63%
  • Having an abortion - 56%
  • Homosexual activity or sex - 52%
  • Not reporting some income on your tax returns - 52%

A "significant percentage" of Americans agreed that these acts are also sinful:

  • Reading or watching pornography - 50%
  • Gossip - 47%
  • Swearing - 46%
  • Sex before marriage - 45%
  • Homosexual thoughts - 44%
  • Sexual thoughts about someone you are not married to - 43%
  • Doing things as a consumer that harm the environment - 41%
  • Smoking marijuana - 41%
  • Getting drunk - 41%
  • Not taking proper care of your body - 35%

A much smaller percentage believed that these acts are sins:

  • Gambling - 30%
  • Telling a "little white lie" to avoid hurting someone's feelings - 29%
  • Using tobacco - 23%
  • Not attending church or religious worship services on a regular basis - 18%
  • Playing the lottery - 18%
  • Watching an R-rated movie - 18%
  • Being significantly overweight - 17%
  • Not giving 10% of your income to a church or charity - 16%
  • Drinking any alcohol - 14%
  • Working on Sunday/the Sabbath - 14%
  • Spanking your child when he/she misbehaves - 7%
  • Making a lot of money - 4%
  • Dancing - 4%

There are surprises here, at least as measured against similar surveys. The Ellison Research survey indicates that only 52% of Americans believe that homosexual acts are sin and only 45% defined sex before marriage as sin. These two data points may indicate the evaporation of biblical morality in the worldviews of many Americans -- at least when it comes to sex. The worldview of personal autonomy, wedded to the Sexual Revolution, may have produced a moral reversal on these matters of sex. Homosexual acts and extramarital heterosexual acts are clearly identified as sins in the Bible. This research indicates that only adultery is generally understood to be sin.

The spread of legalized gambling goes hand-in-hand with the fact that only 30% of Americans believe that gambling is a sin. America is becoming a continental Las Vegas. There is more to the data, of course, and the full report makes for interesting reading.

For Christians, a few observations are in order. First, we do not find out what acts are sinful by asking our neighbors. Christians believe that God alone has the right to determine sin, and that the ultimate authority for determining sin is the Bible -- not a poll. Second, these data seem to indicate that Americans think of sin only in terms of what we do, not in terms of who we are. The Bible reveals sin to be what we are as fallen humanity, not merely the acts we commit or fail to commit. Third, Christians understand that sin is, most importantly, an act of rebellion and disobedience against God himself. Surveys like this point to the fact that most Americans think of sin as acts against other humans or acts against the self (as in gluttony). When sin is seen only in this perspective, all that remains is a negotiable social etiquette. Fourth, this report reminds us of the evangelistic challenge we now face. The loss of a deeper sense of sin means that many (if not most) Americans see themselves in no need of salvation. As a previous generation of Christians knew so well, we have to communicate the "sin word" before we can explain the "grace word" in evangelism. Keep these points in mind as you take a look at this report -- and be reminded why we lock our doors at night.

Kevin Blackwell on ObamaTOPIC: Ken Blackwell Speaks Out About "the real Barack Obama"
It's an amazing time to be alive in America. We're in a year of firsts in this presidential election: the first viable woman candidate; the first viable African-American candidate; and, a candidate who is the first front running freedom fighter over 70. The next president of America will be a first.

We won't truly be in an election of firsts, however, until we judge every candidate by where they stand. We won't arrive where we should be until we no longer talk about skin color or gender. Now that Barack Obama steps to the front of the Democratic field, we need to stop talking about his race, and start talking about his policies and his politics. The reality is this: Though the Democrats will not have a nominee until August, unless Hillary Clinton drops out, Mr. Obama is now the frontrunner, and its time America takes a closer and deeper look at him. Some pundits are calling him the next John F. Kennedy. He's not. He's the next George McGovern. And it's time people learned the facts. Because the truth is that Mr. Obama is the single most liberal senator in the entire U.S. Senate. He is more liberal than Ted Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, or Mrs. Clinton. Never in my life have I seen a presidential frontrunner whose rhetoric is so far removed from his record.

Walter Mondale promised to raise our taxes, and he lost. George McGovern promised military weakness, and he lost. Michael Dukakis promised a liberal domestic agenda, and he lost. Yet Mr. Obama is promising all those things, and he's not behind in the polls. Why? Because the press has dealt with him as if he were in a beauty pageant. Mr. Obama talks about getting past party, getting past red and blue, to lead the United States of America. But let's look at the more defined strokes of who he is underneath this superficial "beauty." Start with national security, since the president's most important duties are as commander-in-chief. Over the summer, Mr. Obama talked about invading Pakistan, a nation armed with nuclear weapons; meeting without preconditions with Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who vows to destroy Israel and create another Holocaust; and Kim Jong II, who is murdering and starving his people, but emphasized that the nuclear option was off the table against terrorists - something no president has ever taken off the table since we created nuclear weapons in the 1940s. Even Democrats who have worked in national security condemned all of those remarks.

Mr. Obama is a foreign-policy novice who would put our national security at risk. Next, consider economic policy. For all its faults, our health care system is the strongest in the world. And free trade agreements, created by Bill Clinton as well as President Bush, have made more goods more affordable so that even people of modest means can live a life that no one imagined a generation ago. Yet Mr. Obama promises to raise taxes on "the rich." How to fix Social Security? Raise taxes. How to fix Medicare? Raise taxes. Prescription drugs? Raise taxes. Free college? Raise taxes. Socialize medicine? Raise taxes. His solution to everything is to have government take it over. Big Brother on steroids, funded by your paycheck.

Finally, look at the social issues. Mr. Obama had the audacity to open a stadium rally by saying, "All praise and glory to God!" but says that Christian leaders speaking for life and marriage have "hijacked" - hijacked - Christianity. He is pro-partial birth abortion, and promises to appoint Supreme Court justices who will rule any restriction on it unconstitutional. He espouses the abortion views of Margaret Sanger, one of the early advocates of racial cleansing. His spiritual leaders endorse homosexual marriage, and he is moving in that direction. In Illinois, he refused to vote against a statewide ban on all handguns in the state. These are radical left, Hollywood, and San Francisco values, not Middle America values.

The real Mr. Obama is an easy target for the general election. Mrs. Clinton is a far tougher opponent. But Mr. Obama could win if people don't start looking behind his veneer and flowery speeches. His vision of "bringing America together" means saying that those who disagree with his agenda for America are hijackers or warmongers. Uniting the country means adopting his liberal agenda and abandoning any conflicting beliefs. But right now everyone is talking about how eloquent of a speaker he is and - yes - they're talking about his race. Those should never be the factors on which we base our choice for president. Mr. Obama's radical agenda sets him far outside the American mainstream, to the left of Mrs. Clinton. It's time to talk about the real Barack Obama. In an election of firsts, let's first make sure we elect the person who is qualified to be our president in a nuclear age during a global civilizational war.

TOPIC: Obama Pro-Murder-By-Abortion; Pro-Homosexual 'Rights;' OK With Terri Schiavo Murder; Is This Guy Wearing a What-Would-Satan-Do Bracelet?
Statement by John Lofton
Culled from ChristiansUnite.com
Recovering Republican John Lofton, Editor of TheAmericanView.com and co-host of "The American View" radio show with the Constitution Party's 2004 Presidential candidate Michael Anthony Peroutka, has issued the following statement:

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!" -- Isaiah 5:20:
"Sen. Barack Obama is OK with the evils of abortion, homosexuality, and the murder of Terri Schiavo and he calls himself a Christian?! And, adding blasphemous insult to injury, he has invoked, of all people, the Lord Jesus Christ and His Sermon On The Mount to justify sodomite/lesbian fornication (civil unions for homosexuals.) For shame!"
In his 'The Screwtape Letters' C.S. Lewis writes: 'The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid dens of crime that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth- shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern.' Or a soft-spoken, smooth-shaven, well-manicured, huge-smiling Presidential candidate such as Barack Obama.

For more on this disgusting, nauseating topic please listen to the current "The American View" (radio show 146). On this same program, you will hear an interview with Pastor Leon Forte of the Grace Christian Church in Athens, Ohio. Pastor Forte was the person who, at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, asked Obama the questions about his faith, which elicited Obama's anti-Christian statements on homosexuality and abortion. Pastor Forte is not pleased with what Obama had to say.

Margaret Sanger would have loved Barack ObamaTOPIC: Margaret Sanger Would Have Loved Barack Obama
Article by Clenard H. Childress, Jr. from ChristiansUnite.com
Rev. Clenard H. Childress Jr., founder of Black Genocide.Org, and president of Learn North East, submits the following and is available for comment:

Revelations of eugenic ideology and the racist practices of Planned Parenthood are unfolding more and more. The public is just beginning to believe what people of conscience have known long ago. Planned Parenthood has diabolically perpetrated their murderous plot to surgically eliminate those they deem undesirable. In other words, kill the babies of unsuspecting minority women by aborting their children . Then, tell them this is a "good thing" for you and your people.

No other ethnic group in the United States has been decimated more by abortion than the Afro-American community. The war being waged upon innocent captives in the womb is led by Planned Parenthood. The strategy? Convince the targeted community to accept their eugenic racist plan by selecting one from their ethnicity to promote it. One of Planned Parenthood's earliest known projects was in 1939. It was called the Negro Project. A project designed to control the birth of "human weeds" which was how Margaret Sanger referred to colored people. A project designed to introduce abortion, sterilization and different forms of birth control.

This is what a co-eugenic wrote to Margaret Sanger to make sure the "Negro Project" was a success: Clarance Gamble the Heir of Proctor and Gamble wrote a memorandum in November 1939 entitled "Suggestions for the Negro Project,". In the letter he suggested black leaders to be placed in positions where it would appear they were in charge.

This is a letter to Clarance Gamble, from Margaret Sanger, which she wrote,"We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don't want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members."
Barack Obama giving speech at Planned Parenthood convention
For those of you that don't know Barack Obama became a "minister" of Planned Parenthood a long time ago. He's so good at carrying out their racist, murderous agenda against Afro-Americans and society at large that they gave him a 100% score on his voting record. Planned Parenthood is following the strategy of their racist founder Margaret Sanger to the letter. Planned Parenthood is saying 'We have our poster boy' get him out in front as a lure for their women and men. Get them into our abortion clinics and dismember their children by the millions! You say absurd? No Way? Planned Parenthoods Valentine cards were sent out to hundreds of thousands of young people in the nation. Whose face is plainly seen waving to them with a big smile? Whose endorsement is given to this racist and calloused organization? Who is used to lure children and give credibility to its hideous plot? Barack Obama, that's who!

On July 17, 2007 Barack Obama said this [watch it for yourself] before the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, "Thank You, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, ($) Thanks to all of you at Planned Parenthood for all the work that you are doing for women all across the country and for families all across the country - and for men who have enough sense to realize you are helping them, all across the country. I want to thank Cecile Richards (national president of Planned Parenthood) for her extraordinary leadership. I am happy to see so many good friends here today, including Steve Trombley and Pam Sutherland from my home state of Illinois. We had a number of battles down in Springfield from many years and it's wonderful to see that they are here today." {Here is a transcript of Obama's speech.}

The first friend mentioned is Cecile Richards who he commends for extraordinary leadership in killing babies who are disproportionately black. The second is Steve Trombley; he is the president of Planned Parenthood Chicago. You can imagine how many of our young women have been victimized and whose pre-born children were killed under his supervision. His third friend he mentions is Pam Sutherland. She is the State CEO of Planned Parenthood for Illinois.

America needs to know how much these folks were and continue today to be into the head and actions of Senator Barack Obama. How much did he compromise his own values? I choose here to quote Dr. Martin Luther King from his last Sunday sermon before his death, "There comes a time when one must take the position that is neither safe nor politic nor popular, but he must do it because conscience tells him it is right. I believe today that there is a need for all people of goodwill to come with a massive act of conscience and say in the words of the old Negro spiritual, We ain't goin' study war no more." This is the challenge facing modern man. When the challenge came to Barack Obama to call on conscience, he refused.

What most Americans would say no to, he chooses to say, YES. He refused to do what the Dream called for, to allow your conscience to tell you what is right and what would be wrong. You may ask why but always remember this observation. Abortion is a lot like slavery. If it was not lucrative it would not have been legal! Pam Sutherland ... of ... Illinois Planned Parenthood ... told ABC News, "We worked with him specifically on his strategy. The Republicans were in control of the Illinois Senate at the time. They loved to hold votes on 'partial birth' and 'born alive.' They put these bills out all the time ... because they wanted to pigeonhole Democrats. ..." Let me interpret. We, Planned Parenthood, told him what to say and how to say it so we could continue to kill infants. Babies just a few inches from birth and those completely out of the womb that we missed! Our "colored minister" was well prepared by Planned Parenthood.

Partial Birth abortion, which I will not describe here but know that 80% of Americans don't want this barbaric act practiced here in this country, Barack voted to keep it legal. The Born alive victims act is a law to protect a child that was born alive after a botched abortion. A law that would require that the child would receive medical assistance. Barack Obama voted against it. Yes, Barack Obama with an "engaging personality" is being used by the leading abortion provider in the United States to promote and execute infanticide of predominately minority babies. And what are most Afro-Americans saying, "Yes We Can, Yes We Can!" They are ignoring conscience. They are ignoring the Dream!

I have a Dream that one day, my four little children will live in a world where that they won't be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. Yes, I believe it would be wonderful to have a Black man as president but it's more important for there to be God's man as president. That his or her character would reflect my values, values that are reflected in the 10 Commandments and our Declaration of Independence. Most African-Americans are applauding him for the color of his skin. They have failed to look at closely the content of his character. Martin Luther King , while sitting in a Birmingham jail, without the internet, cell phone, library resources or communication from the outside, penned that famous prophetic letter to answer some local Pastors who questioned his use of public demonstrations. Martin, in a portion of his letter discussed the responsibility of the church to address social issues, he said, "the early church put an end to such evils as infanticide" Martin Luther King wrote from the passion of his spirit. The spirit that was fighting for justice and equality. Martin called infant killing evil. Barack Obama calls it a women's right. Martin Luther King made his observation from a jail cell having been put there for defending the civil rights of those whom had been denied. Barack Obama has made his from caucusing with those who profit from the destruction of babies in the womb. These are men and women whom ignore the silent screams of a lost generation.

Can we trust Obama's judgments? I think not. Another quote form Dr. Martin Luther King that would be so appropriate here is "The Negro cannot win if he chooses to sacrifice the future of his children for immediate comfort and safety." It is now imperative that we all hear the words of this great prophet of God. It is obvious that we must reject the Barack Obamas that have placed us in great danger by their ideologies. A position Martin Luther King warns us we cannot expect to win! Yes, Margaret Sanger would love Barack Obama. Her proteges certainly do.

"There will always be people, many of goodwill, who do not share my view on the issue of choice. On this fundamental issue, I will not yield and Planned Parenthood will not yield." -- Barack Obama, in a speech to Planned Parenthood

Lest you think Hillary Clinton holds a better position on murdering unborn children, read this article on her turn with Planned Parenthood's minions.

Charles Barkley spews moronic comments on CNNTOPIC: Charles Barkley? Really?!? What Does He Know Anyway?
Article from ChristiansUnite.com
Day Gardner, President, National Black Pro-Life Union, submits the following:
It is interesting that there is so much noise about Charles Barkley's remarks about abortion and Barack Obama. Barkley made the comments last Friday in an interview with CNN's The Situation Room news show and also referred to pro-life advocates as "hypocritical." He also stated that the word "conservative" makes him sick to his stomach. Really, Mr. Barkley? Conservative, conservative, conservative! (Just kidding).

Mr. Barkley was once a very talented basketball player, but this does not qualify him as a great thinker [or even an intelligent person]. If he were, he would understand that abortion is not a Republican or Democratic issue; it's a simple matter of life and death. (Has he ever seen what an aborted child looks like?) The good news is that there ARE many pro-life Democrats! There are Democrats of strong moral fiber who will not bow to the beast. There are Democrats who stand fierce in support of saving the lives of unborn children even at the risk of loosing the support by their political party. Unfortunately, Barack Obama is not one of them!

When Wolf Blitzer asked Barkley to explain his callous anti-Christian remarks, Barkley condemned Christians for wanting to be "judge and jury." But that's just it, Mr. Barkley -- women who become pregnant are judging their own innocent child by making the determination that the child growing inside is somehow not worthy of life and therefore, sentenced to a horrific, violent death by abortion. There are two victims in abortion -- one dead, the other injured. Women need not kill their children due to fear or pressure from boyfriends, husbands or parents. Young girls and women need to realize that it is not necessary to kill their children to have productive lives. Both mother and child are precious in God's eyes!

The word of God says pre-born children are people from the moment of conception, PSALM 139:13-16. The Bible also says if anyone harms a pregnant woman so that her baby dies--that person should be punished "an eye for an eye", EXODUS 21:22-25. So, who is Charles Barkley? He's just a former basketball player, no more -- no less.

TOPIC: Logic on Death Penalty and Abortion
How is it that many of the people who are pro-abortion (which is the killing of an unborn child) are the same people who are against the death penalty? I'd love for someone to comment and explain that kind of logic to me. I just don't get how anyone can be for the killing of an unborn human being who has done nothing wrong, yet argue against putting to death an individual who purposely takes another life.
If you can debate your point coherently and with decent language, please feel free to comment. I'll gladly publish all who provide a coherent, decent reply.

TOPIC: Pro-Life Movement is Alive and Well on the Eve of the 35th Roe v. Wade Memorial
Article from ChristiansUnite.com
Pro-life activists are now focusing their attention away from Washington, D.C. and aggressively turning their sights to state and local initiatives. Rev. Patrick J. Mahoney, Director of the Christian Defense Coalition, comments,
"On the eve of the 35th Memorial of Roe v. Wade, the pro-life movement is alive and well. Support for abortion, and abortions themselves, are at their lowest levels in over 30 years. This past Sunday thousands of churches preached messages on 'The Sanctity of Life,' and tens of thousands participated in statewide pro-life rallies and marches. On Tuesday, January 22, over 100,000 will join the annual 'March for Life,' in Washington, DC. On the pro-choice side, we see virtually no major events happening on the national stage."
Here is a list of some of the positive things happening in the pro-life movement:
  • Crisis pregnancy centers, which care for women with crisis pregnancies at no charge, outnumber abortion clinics 3 to 1.
  • A recent Gallup Poll shows that 72% of Americans 18 and under believe that abortion is 'immoral.'
  • 85% of counties in America do not have an abortion clinic.
  • All candidates running for the Office of President believe abortion is a tragic, and regrettable decision.
  • Young physicians are choosing not to become involved in the abortion industry creating a massive shortage of abortion providers.
  • At least ten states are considering legislation to ban abortions and introduce Human Life Amendments.
  • For the first time in 35 years, the United States Supreme Court banned an abortion procedure.
As the political landscape has changed in Washington, DC, the pro-life movement has adapted and is now focusing their attention on state and local initiatives. We see that in the citizen led grand jury convened in Wichita, Kansas against abortion provider George Tiller as well as state Human Life Amendments like the one recently introduced in Georgia. These efforts are bypassing the gridlock in Washington on abortion and chipping away at Roe from a local level.

TOPIC: Newly Identified Corporate Supporters of Planned Parenthood Named
Article from ChristiansUnite.com staff
Life Decisions International (LDI) has released a revised edition of The Boycott List, which identifies corporations that are boycott targets due to their support of Planned Parenthood, the world's primary abortion-advocacy group. "As a direct result of the commitment, action and prayers of pro-family people, at least 160 corporations have stopped funding Planned Parenthood," said LDI President Douglas R. Scott, Jr.
It is estimated that the boycott has cost Planned Parenthood more than $40 million since the Corporate Funding Project (CFP) began nearly 16 years ago. "This should be a testament to those who believe it is impossible to change corporate philanthropic behavior," Scott said.
Corporations appearing on The Boycott List for the first time include:
  • BBJ Linen (home products)
  • Carlson Companies (travel agencies, hotels...)
  • Country Inns & Suites
  • Park Inn
  • Park Plaza
  • Radisson
  • Regent
...and restaurants
  • T.G.I. Friday's
  • Pick Up Stix
  • FastSigns (graphics/printing)
InterContinental Hotels
  • Candlewood
  • Crowne Plaza
  • Holiday Inn
  • Indigo
  • InterContinental
  • Staybridge
  • Midas (motor vehicle care)
  • Paul Ecke Ranch (poinsettias)
...among others.

Corporations continuing as boycott targets from the previously released Boycott List include:
  • AlphaGraphics
  • Basics Office Products
  • Wachovia
  • Nike
  • Time Warner (Cinemax, HBO, AOL, etc.)
  • Bank of America
  • the Dallas Cowboys
  • CIGNA
  • Walt Disney
  • Johnson & Johnson
  • Lost Arrow (Patagonia, etc.)
  • Chevron
  • Wells Fargo
  • Whole Foods Market
  • Nationwide (insurance)
...among others.

The new Boycott List includes a significantly expanded "Dishonorable Mention" section, which identifies charitable groups that are associated with Planned Parenthood and/or its agenda. Groups named in this section include:
  • Amnesty International
  • the American Cancer Society
  • Camp Fire Girls Inc.
  • Girl Scouts
  • Human Rights Watch
  • Kiwanis Clubs
  • Doctors Without Borders
  • the March of Dimes
  • the Muscular Dystrophy Association
  • Rotary Clubs
  • the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation
  • the YWCA
...among others.

"This has not been some sort of 'Jesse Jackson boycott' where we make news for a few days and then go away," Scott said. "Corporate officials are learning that those who value life are among the most dedicated people on earth. We will not go away until corporate involvement with Planned Parenthood comes to an end. The Pro-Life Movement will succeed only to the extent that pro-life people are willing to be inconvenienced," Scott said. "The very lives of children are worth that much -- and a whole lot more."

Life Decisions International (LDI) is dedicated to challenging the Culture of Death, concentrating on exposing and fighting the agenda of Planned Parenthood. LDI's chief project is a boycott of corporations that fund the abortion-committing giant.

TOPIC: Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust to Confront Democratic Party at 2008 Convention
Article from christiansunite.com
The Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, along with the Christian Defense Coalition, will be holding demonstrations, prayer vigils, and rallies surrounding the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado in August 2008.
The Survivors announced the events at a press conference at Speer Boulevard and Chopper Circle in Denver on Tuesday, September 18th. The prominent pro-life youth activist organization is based out of Southern California, with chapters and projects across the country. The Survivors have led successful events at previous political conventions, including the Democratic National Conventions in Los Angeles in 2000 and Boston in 2004.
Danielle Versluys, Director of Special Events for the Survivors, states, "we are coming to the Democratic National Convention to be a voice for the voiceless minority - the thousands of innocent children who die every day in America. Our elected leaders are responsible for all American lives, whether born or preborn, and it is time for the youth of America to say enough is enough. We are calling the Democratic Party to account for their embrasure of the genocide."
"As a Survivor of America's abortion holocaust, I am disgusted and outraged that the Democratic Party continues to uphold murder as an American value," says James Conrad, age 22. "My family was torn apart by abortion, and I know firsthand what the effects of that terrible decision can be. I will be at the Convention on behalf of my generation, exposing the lie of abortion that has resulted in the murder of over 45,000,000 of my peers."

TOPIC: A Christian Statesman Has Gone Home
Rev. D. James Kennedy, Broadcaster, Dies at 76
Article by NEELA BANERJEE
[For some reason, Ms. Banerjee has a problem calling Dr. Kennedy by his proper title. Yet, she entitles Barry Lynn "reverend" as though it means something. ???]

The Rev. D. James Kennedy, a Christian broadcaster and the pastor of a Florida megachurch who played a critical role in the rise of conservative Christianity, died yesterday at his home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He was 76. The cause was not immediately known, said Kristin Cole, a church spokeswoman, but Mr. Kennedy suffered permanent damage from heart arrhythmia last December and had been undergoing rehabilitative therapy since then.
From the founding of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Fort Lauderdale 48 years ago, Mr. Kennedy became an indefatigable and persuasive voice urging Christians to take on a broader culture that, in his view, had begun to decay.
He argued that the decline was due to society’s increasing secularization and hostility to Christianity, said Frank Wright, a friend and the chief executive of the National Religious Broadcasters Association. Though not as well known to the broader public as the late Rev. Jerry Falwell or the Rev. Pat Robertson, Mr. Kennedy provided much of the theology that attracted millions of Christians into the camp of the religious right, said the Rev. Barry W. Lynn, executive director of Americans United for Separation of Church and State. “He was absolutely relentless in his criticism of everything on the left,” Mr. Lynn said. “He was a formidable creator of an opposition to what people like I believe.

Mr. Kennedy stayed largely in the background as men like Mr. Falwell, Mr. Robertson and James C. Dobson of Focus on the Family spoke to Americans about the need to curtail abortion rights, gay rights and the teaching of evolution. But over the last decade, he, too, grew more openly active, creating the Center for Reclaiming America for Christ, which held conferences that taught people to how to get involved in the political process. The center closed in April.

Mr. Kennedy opened the Center for Christian Statesmanship in Washington to equip evangelicals on Capitol Hill to be more effective in government. He was also instrumental in establishing the Alliance Defense Fund, an increasingly active Christian counterweight to secular civil liberties groups.
For decades, Dr. Kennedy has been a passionate defender of biblical truth in a culture that increasingly forgot it,” Dr. Dobson said in a statement. “He was a giant in the battle to restore traditional values in our nation.
Kennedy accepted Jesus after the message of a radio preacher woke him one Sunday morning. In Mr. Kennedy’s often-repeated account, which appears on his Web site, the preacher asked: “Suppose you were to die today and stand before God, and he were to ask you, ‘What right do you have to enter into my heaven?’— what would you say?

In 1967, he started an “evangelism clinic” called Evangelism Explosion, which taught Christians how to spread the Gospel. Mr. Kennedy’s Coral Ridge Ministries, which includes radio and television, says it now has an audience of 3.5 million people, according to the group’s Web site. “Coral Ridge Hour,” a weekly sermon by Mr. Kennedy, is broadcast in more than 145 countries and on more than 600 stations.

Mr. Kennedy also founded a seminary and a school and wrote more than 65 books. Mr. Kennedy worked with other evangelicals to articulate the core beliefs of what would become the religious right. Mr. Kennedy spoke sharply against gay rights and abortion rights. But he thought the greatest threat to society was the fact that public education had left prayer out of the classroom and continued to teach evolution, Mr. Wright said. “When people feel that they are the product of some accident and not the intended creation of God, they are filled with a sense of hopelessness and there is an almost pagan barbarianism in the way some people would act,” Mr. Wright said.

TOPIC: Doubt or Certainty? Which Does YOUR World Revolve Around?
2005 editorial from Charles Krauthammer of TIME magazine
These things come in waves, of course, but waves need to be resisted, even if the exercise leaves you feeling like King Canute. The new wave is fashionable doubt. Doubt is in. Certainty is out.

The New Republic
devoted a cover article to hailing the "conservatism of doubt." For the less bookish, Hollywood spends $130 million on a Crusader epic in which the heroes are 12th century multiculturalists, Christian and Muslim, who want nothing more than love, peace and interfaith understanding. (Such people inhabit 21st century Hollywood, but as columnist John Podhoretz points out, they were nowhere to be seen in 12th century Jerusalem.) And dare you have any "deeply held views" -- a transparent euphemism for religiously grounded views -- especially regarding abortion [or homosexuality or the war against terrorism].
The Op-Ed pages are filled with jeremiads about believers -- principally evangelical Christians and traditional Catholics -- bent on turning the U.S. into a theocracy. Now I am not much of a believer, but there is something deeply wrong -- indeed, deeply un-American -- about fearing people simply because they believe.
It seems perfectly O.K. for secularists to impose their secular views on America, such as, say, legalized abortion or gay marriage. But when someone takes the contrary view, all of a sudden he is trying to impose his view on you. And if that contrary view happens to be rooted in Scripture or some kind of religious belief system, the very public advocacy of that view becomes a violation of the U.S. constitutional order.
What nonsense. The campaign against certainty is merely the philosophical veneer for an attempt to politically marginalize and intellectually disenfranchise believers. Instead of arguing the merits of any issue, secularists are trying to win the argument by default on the grounds that the other side displays unhealthy certainty or, even worse, unseemly religiosity. Why this panic about certainty and people who display it? It is not just, as conventional wisdom has it, that liberals think the last election was lost because of a bloc of benighted Evangelicals. It is because we a handful of years of moral certainty, and firm belief -- and that's about all secular liberalism can tolerate.

Do you remember 9/11? How you felt? The moral clarity of that day and the days thereafter? Just days after 9/11, on this very page, Lance Morrow wrote a brilliant, searing affirmation of right against wrong, good against evil. A few years of that near papal certainty is more than any self-respecting intelligentsia can take. The overwhelmingly secular intellectuals are embarrassed that they once nodded in assent to Morrow-like certainty, an affront to their self-flattering pose as skeptics.

Enough. A new day, a new wave. Time again for nuance, doubt and the comforts of relativism. It is not just the restless search for novelty, the artist's Holy Grail. It is weariness with the responsibilities and the nightmares that come with clarity -- and the demands that moral certainty make on us as individuals and as a nation.

Nothing has more aroused and infuriated the sophisticates than the foreign policy of a religiously inclined President, based on the notion of a universal aspiration to freedom and of America's need and duty to advance it around the world. Such liberationism, confident and unapologetic, is portrayed as arrogant crusading, a deep violation of the tradition of American pluralism, ecumenism, modesty and skeptical restraint.
That widespread portrayal is invention masquerading as history. You want certainty? You want religiosity? How about a people who overthrow the political order of the ages, go to war and occasion thousands of deaths in the name of self-evident truths and unalienable rights endowed by the Creator? That was 1776. The universality, the sacredness and the divine origin of freedom are enshrined in our founding document. The Founders, believers all, signed it. Thomas Jefferson wrote it. And not even Jefferson, the most skeptical of the lot, had the slightest doubt about it.
