"Sen. Barack Obama is OK with the evils of abortion, homosexuality, and the murder of Terri Schiavo and he calls himself a Christian?! And, adding blasphemous insult to injury, he has invoked, of all people, the Lord Jesus Christ and His Sermon On The Mount to justify sodomite/lesbian fornication (civil unions for homosexuals.) For shame!"

In his 'The Screwtape Letters' C.S. Lewis writes: 'The greatest evil is not now done in those sordid dens of crime that Dickens loved to paint. It is not done even in concentration camps and labour camps. In those we see its final result. But it is conceived and ordered (moved, seconded, carried and minuted) in clean, carpeted, warmed, and well-lighted offices, by quiet men with white collars and cut fingernails and smooth- shaven cheeks who do not need to raise their voice. Hence naturally enough, my symbol for Hell is something like the bureaucracy of a police state or the offices of a thoroughly nasty business concern.' Or a soft-spoken, smooth-shaven, well-manicured, huge-smiling Presidential candidate such as Barack Obama.

Pastor Forte is not pleased with what Obama had to say.

TOPIC: Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust to Confront Democratic Party at 2008 Convention

The Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, along with the Christian Defense Coalition, will be holding demonstrations, prayer vigils, and rallies surrounding the Democratic National Convention in Denver, Colorado in August 2008.
The Survivors announced the events at a press conference at Speer Boulevard and Chopper Circle in Denver on Tuesday, September 18th. The prominent pro-life youth activist organization is based out of Southern California, with chapters and projects across the country. The Survivors have led successful events at previous political conventions, including the Democratic National Conventions in Los Angeles in 2000 and Boston in 2004.

Danielle Versluys, Director of Special Events for the Survivors, states, "we are coming to the Democratic National Convention to be a voice for the voiceless minority - the thousands of innocent children who die every day in America. Our elected leaders are responsible for all American lives, whether born or preborn, and it is time for the youth of America to say enough is enough. We are calling the Democratic Party to account for their embrasure of the genocide."

"As a Survivor of America's abortion holocaust, I am disgusted and outraged that the Democratic Party continues to uphold murder as an American value," says James Conrad, age 22. "My family was torn apart by abortion, and I know firsthand what the effects of that terrible decision can be. I will be at the Convention on behalf of my generation, exposing the lie of abortion that has resulted in the murder of over 45,000,000 of my peers."

Morality in Media President Robert Peters had the following comments in response to the many news stories pointing a finger at the availability of guns as the underlying cause of the Virginia Tech and similar senseless shootings:

• "Growing up in the 1950s and 1960s in North Central Illinois I often felt left out when friends went hunting for rabbits, squirrels, pheasants, deer and more.

• "My dad never took us hunting, even though his father had hunted and even though we had a rifle in the home that he taught us how to use when I was in grade school. After my grandfather passed away when I was in college, we also had a shotgun and handgun in the home.

• "Fist fighting among kids was common, but never once did any of us (or our parents) use a gun to shoot someone else. To my knowledge, the community I grew up in was not atypical.

• "Not surprising, my own growing up experience makes me wary of those that point a finger at the availability of guns as the underlying cause of the dramatic increase in gun-related murders.

• "The depiction of guns back then in films and TV also had an impact on us. I still have a picture of my older brother and I with our cowboy six guns and holsters; and I still have fond memories of playing war in the woods with our toy rifles and my favorite gun, a plastic carbine.
  

• "But I think I am on safe ground in saying that we didn't grow up fantasizing about shooting other human beings in real life just for the sake of shooting them or for exacting revenge.
  

• "How then do we explain why so many young people today use guns unlawfully?
  

• "One obvious part of the explanation is the decline of religion and, along with that, the decline of morality. There is nothing more basic to morality than, 'You shall not kill.'
  

• "I think another part of the explanation was the abandonment in the 1960s of the Hays Code that governed the film industry for three decades. Among the Code provisions was one that regulated the depiction of murder. Murder was to be presented in a way that would not inspire imitation. Brutal killings were not to be presented in detail. Revenge was not to be justified.
  

• "Broadcast television helped further desensitize youth to criminal violence; and the advent of cable TV and home videos brought the unedited, amoral deadly violence of Hollywood directly into home. Hardcore rap lyrics also extol criminal violence, including use of guns.
  

• "And today, video games provide youth with on-hands instruction in how to kill.
  

• "Without question, the increased availability of weapons designed to take human life has contributed to the increase in mayhem, but typically supply follows demand, and what has helped create the demand for such weapons is a popular culture that glamorizes their use.
  

• "All this is not to say that society shouldn't restrict the sale of guns and perhaps prohibit the sale of some guns altogether. Even assuming that the 2nd Amendment protects the right of citizens to keep weapons (as I believe it does), reasonable regulation should still be permissible.
  

• "It is to say that we would have much less to fear from the availability of guns, if we would stop glamorizing their use in popular culture. On the latter point, I recall seeing a statistic that less than 5% of New York City police officers ever fire their guns. You'd never know that from popular culture depictions of life as a major city law enforcement officer."

TOPIC: If it doesn't fit, you must acquit...
That is, unless he confesses. Yep, that's right. O.J. Simpson and his Burno Mali's are back in the news -- in what the publisher of a new book calls a "confession". According to FOXNews.com,

Simpson was acquitted in 1995 of murder in the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife Nicole and her friend Ron Goldman after a trial that became a cultural flashpoint and a source of racial tension. He was later found liable for the deaths in a wrongful-death suit filed by the Goldman family but has failed to pay the $33.5 million judgment.

The book entitled, If I Did It, was written by O.J. Simpson himself. It is being published by Judith Regan, of ReganBooks. Ms. Regan is quoted as saying, "This is an historic case, and I consider this his confession." I have to give her props for the color and emphasis on the book cover. "IF" is in white followed by large red letters spelling out "I DID IT" -- across a picture of O.J. Simpson.
Regan refused to say what Simpson is being paid for the book, which can be pre-ordered for $24.95 (on ReganBooks website). She said he came to her with the idea. Simpson's own attorney Yale Galanter said he did not know about the book or the interview until this week.
Other notable quotes: "He destroyed my son and took from my family Ron's future and life. And for that I'll hate him always and find him despicable," Fred Goldman said in an interview broadcast Thursday on ABC's 'Good Morning America'. ... Denise Brown, sister of Nicole Brown Simpson, accused publisher Judith Regan of 'promoting the wrongdoing of criminals' and commercializing abuse. She added: 'It's unfortunate that Simpson has decided to awaken a nightmare that we have painfully endured and worked so hard to move beyond.' "
It seems that lowlife Simpson is trying to gain fame and monetary rewards from the book deal. Remember, he likely cannot directly receive money from the book, but some fancy lawyering could redirect the funds to some means by which Simpson can use the money.
In my opinion, OJ Simpson should have been executed years ago (via the penal system) for the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman. Johnny Cochran and his band of marauding lawyers got O.J. an acquittal -- when it was more than clear that Simpson was and is guilty. Before anyone says that was the job of his defense counsel, THINK it over intelligently. The defense attorney's job is NOT to win acquittal, but to make sure the accused gets a fair trial. Simpson is guilty. Let's just hope the book "If I Did It" is his swan song of a confession -- and opens up new doors for the prosecution he deserves. Rosie Greer, Mark Fuhrman, Marcia Clark and the rest of participants should be warming up their cell phones and vocal cords. They will likely have plenty of opportunity to speak to the talking heads once the book is released November 30th.

TOPIC: In Gainesville, Long-time Residents Recall the Terror
The mass murderer who caused that fear in 1990 is due to be executed today.

October 24 - Danny Rolling's scheduled execution today has sparked memories in long-time Gainesville residents who vividly remember the terror they felt in 1990 when Rolling murdered five students. But many current University of Florida students do not recognize the name of the man who killed four UF students and one Santa Fe Community College student.
Jarrod Doll, 20, said he doesn't know much about Rolling or the murders that occurred when he was 4, so the execution today doesn't mean much to him. But his mother, Louie Doll, said she remembers the sleepless nights she spent living in Gainesville that fall. She worked as a nurse, living with her husband and her three young sons in the northwest part of town - several miles from where the murders took place. "Even though we knew it was students, I felt just as scared," she said. "He was after small, dark-haired women, which I am. ... It heightened my concern, and it made me more nervous." Even today, when she sees girls jogging alone at night, she remembers the events that made most Gainesville residents too afraid to walk or jog alone. "Your fear never leaves you," she said.

Scott Miller, a UF psychology professor, said the recent newspaper articles leading up to Rolling's execution have reminded him of the fear he felt for his daughter, Erica, who had just transferred to UF when the murders happened. "Nobody can imagine the [victims'] parents' perspectives, but if you were a parent in this town at that time, you can come closer," said Miller, who moved to Gainesville in 1977. "It really was horrible."
Erica Miller, who lived near UF's campus with her boyfriend, moved into her parents' home for a few weeks. Miller said he locked every door and used wood to double enforce sliding glass doors. Her father said he doesn't feel anything will be changed by Rolling's execution today, but he said he thinks the parents deserve a resolution to 16 years of pain. "I used to be more liberal on this issue than I am now," he said. "I think being a parent of a college student in 1990 changed me."
But for many students, who were in preschool in 1990, the murders are less personal. Instead, they say that the recent coverage of Rolling has made them think about the legal system and the death penalty. Most only know about the murders from what they've heard from parents and friends and the scene painted on a section of a wall along Southwest 34th Street, which states "Remember 1990" and lists the victims. The Interfraternity Council at UF maintains that section of the wall, hoping it will inform new students and perpetuate the memories of the victims: Tracy Paules, Manuel Taboada, Christi Powell, Sonja Larson and Christa Hoyt. Powell graduated from Episcopal High School in Jacksonville.
But many people who lived in Gainesville during the murders don't need a daily reminder. They think about the victims and their families and the scary, uncertain era in Gainesville - an era they won't forget.

I was living in the Brunswick/St. Simons Island, Georgia during the time of the murders in Gainesville during 1990. I vividly recall the long sleepless nights (my girlfriend was a coed in a nearby college), TV news reports and worries everyone in the region had at the time. Danny Rolling was a sick, sadistic individual -- going so far as to cut one girl's head off and place it on the bookshelf in her apartment. Many have deserved the ultimate punishment for their crimes, but none more than Daniel Rolling. I'm glad to know that the parents of the five young ladies brutally murdered by Rolling have some final closure.

TOPIC: Amish School Update: Two More Girls Have Died
Charles Roberts' murderous rampage in an Amish school yesterday has claimed two more victims. Two more of the eleven young girls who were bound and shot in the head, execution style, have died this morning. That's brings the total dead to six, including Roberts.
Please forgive me for what I am about to write... I realize we are all sinners, but I hope that bastard burns in Hell's hottest pit! What he did was so far beyond any logic, reason or humanity. A grudge for something that happened TWENTY YEARS ago cannot be anywhere near an acceptable reason for murdering little girls at a school house. It's incomprehensible!
When are we going to realize that what goes into our minds through our eyes and ears WILL COME OUT?!? I bet this guy had a penchant for pornography (kiddie porn & "barely legal") on the Internet -- and was a very angry person on the outside, too. We already know his mood had "turned darker" over the last few months. I wonder what other warning signs have been there. In his rambling suicide note and the phone call to his wife, Charlie Roberts mentioned that he had molested two younger relatives when he was just twelve years old. He also said that he had been "dreaming" about molesting more little girls lately. His desire to sexually molest young girls was apparently part of the motive to go to the Amish school just down the road from his home. After all, police found KY Jelly among the items Roberts took the to the schoolhouse.
The KY Jelly wasn't there to keep his hands soft or lube the door hinges. It is pretty clear that Roberts planned to barricade himself inside with just the children -- and molest them before committing suicide. Charlie Roberts was seeking revenge against God for the death of his newborn daughter (Elise) three years ago AND fulfilling his sick fantasies -- by molesting and killing the young Christian girls.
Add to his victims, the three children he left behind -- to question why their Dad (who supposedly was a good father to them) murdered five young girls and then committed suicide. They will have an extremely difficult life -- the torture of the TV images, the taunting of classmates/friends, the stares, jeers and harsh words they are sure to encounter. Marie Roberts, the gunman's wife, released a statement Monday night to the media saying: "The man who did this today is not the Charlie that I've been married to for almost 10 years. My husband is loving, supportive, thoughtful, all the things you'd always want and more…. Our hearts are broken, our lives are shattered, and we grieve for the innocence and lives that were lost today."
The Amish community has been torn from its innocence. They have been on their knees overnight. We all need to follow their lead -- confessing our sins and turning away from the violence we perpetuate on a daily basis. We need to call for the return of morality in public school systems. Shoving God out of the schools has largely created the problem. Now, only He can fix it through the working of His people in teaching a strong moral code and respect for others.

TOPIC: Charles Carl Roberts Murdered Three Children at an Amish School
The Amish community of Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania has been hit by the unthinkable -- a school shooting. So far, four people are dead. We know seven others are in area hospitals -- some are confirmed to have been shot in the head and torso. It is the nation's third deadly school shooting in less than a week, and one of the deadliest in U.S. history.
Apparently, the gunman, Charles Carl Roberts, (32 yrs old) entered the school after backing a blue pickup truck to the school's front door. Charles Roberts was a tanker truck driver for local company, Northwest Foods .
Reports say he burst into the one-room school house at around 10:00am and made demands of the teacher and students. Roberts made all the males leave the school, along with adult teachers and a pregnant aid. He then boarded the doors with 2x4's and 2x6's. One of the teachers called 911 at 10:36am. She told law enforcement what was going on at the school.
Officers responded to the scene around 10:45am -- and set up a parameter around the school building. Roberts called the 911 center around 11:00am and demanded that the police back off or something major would happen. He gave them 10 seconds to respond. While the police were trying to get the word to their officers, and contact Charles Roberts to negotiate, Roberts opened fire. He had already bound the female students, whose ages ranged from six to thirteen years. The children were totally helpless to defend themselves.
ASIDE: The police say Roberts' suicide notes make mention of something that happened 20 years ago, and possible revenge for that event. It looks like he was around 12 years old at that time. He may have been rejected by a school girl friend, but never got over it. He took his revenge at the closest place he could find young girls -- a school just down the road from where he lived.
Just after 11:00am, Roberts called his wife and told her he was not coming home again. He told her that he had left notes for his own children. As Roberts shot the young girls in the head, execution style, troopers stormed the building. They entered through windows (as the doors were blocked off). Roberts fired at officers frantically. Charles Roberts then killed himself.
There are clothes strewn about the otherwise sparse school grounds. I saw a bat laying in the ballfield to the left of the school house -- indicating some children may have been outside when Charles Roberts arrived. There are two spots covered with sheets, presumably blood stains from the shootings.

We are learning more every few minutes. I'll update this story as I receive more information.
